MAXINE BOYD, 95, of North Little Rock, went to be with her Lord on Aug. 22, 2014. Maxine was born Feb. 10, 1919 in Little Rock, Ark. to Lola and Fred White. She had one brother, Kenneth Clark White, who married Mildred Sneed, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1936 and attended Little Rock Business School. In 1941 she married Paul H. Spear, who preceded her in death in 1948. They had one child, Paula Spear Boyd Moses. In 1951, she married William Hansel Boyd, who preceded her in death in 1998. Maxine was active in Junior League and as co-founder of Jr. Cotillion of NLR. She served her church, NLR First United Methodist Church, as a member of the Finance Committee, Official Board, Faith-n-Action Circle, and was President of the Ambassador Class. She served as a volunteer at NLR Baptist Hospital for many years. Maxine will be remembered as a true "Southern Lady". She enjoyed time with her friends and staying active in her church and the community. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Paula Moses and husband, Paul; two grandsons, Boyd Moses, wife Kristin, and their daughter Elizabeth; and Todd Moses, wife Courtney, and their daughter Trinity. She is also survived by her very faithful niece, Kathy Morledge, who has been a second daughter to her; and Kathy's son, David; nephew, Ken White, his wife, Iris, their children, Kenny, Lisa, and Laura, and their children. She is also survived by long-term family friend, Glenda Bailey McClain. The family would like to thank the staff of Fox Ridge NLR for their compassionate care and support. The family will gather for a celebration of life on Monday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400), conducted by Reverend Brenton Higdem. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., prior to service.
