Lucy Willmuth

Mrs. Lucy Alberta Willmuth, 100, of Springdale, Arkansas died Saturday, November 29, 2014. Lucy was born, Lucy Alberta Damouth, February 10, 1914, Myrtle, Missouri, to Arthur J and Elsie (Freeman) Damouth. Lucy married Glen W Robertson, September 6, 1931, in Jackson County. From this marriage came Lucy's only biological child, Houston Robertson born in 1935, and later Houston's daughter Amy Lynn. Lucy has spent her last months in the home of Amy and Amy's husband Jessie Joyner in Heber Springs. Lucy's marriage to Glen was very short when Glen died in 1937 at age 27. In 1940 Lucy married Ed D Watts. Together they raised her son Houston and Ed's son Leroy. So although there were no additional children from this marriage, Lucy later gained four Watts grandchildren, Michael, James, Linda, and Bridget. Ed died in 1965. The following year Lucy married William George Willmuth. This marriage lasted 22 years until his death in 1988. Lucy remained in their home in Springdale until early 2014 when she broke her hip. William had 2 grown children, J. W. Willmuth and Serilda Gene Allen. From this marriage Lucy later gained many grandchildren. Lucy loved her home, garden, and Church and always had a well worn Bible near her chair. Lucy retired in 1986 from Allen Canning Co and was a member of the Holcomb Street Church of Christ. We believe there was great rejoicing on Saturday as Lucy left this life to join many departed loved ones and family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Milton Houston Robertson; two brothers, Olen Damouth and Jesse Damouth and one stepsister, Elizabeth Miller. Lucy is survived by several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Arnold Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 11 a.m. until service time. Arrangements by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. www.jacksonsfh.com.
