Ellona Delle Kirtley, 81, passed away on November 28, 2014 in Cabot, Arkansas. A Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Riverside Cemetery with Carl Hogue officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Delle was born February 19, 1933 to Huey Allen and Lavada Ellona (Fancher) Cook in Bowie, Texas. She married Afton G. "Buddy" Kirtley in Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1967. Delle worked for many years in sales with Dillard's and retired from JC Penneys. Delle was an excellent decorator and owned and operated Delle's Drapery Shop. Delle had a passion for singing. In the 1960's with her sisters (Cook Sisters) they made an album called Precious Memories which is still known and listened to today. Delle was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Afton G. "Buddy" Kirtley in 1984 and four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Mark Stermer of Jacksonville, Arkansas and her daughter, Rocklin Rachaner of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Johnny Harmon of Arlington, Texas and Estelline Voyles of Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, Jirl Cook of Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rachaner of New Jersey, Amber Guerra of Olney, Texas and Audry Stermer of Wichita Falls, Texas; and by 4 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m., for visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lunnscolonial.com.
