Nancy Spradlin, 69, of Hot Springs Village passed away Dec. 4, 2014. She was born Sept. 28, 1945 in Auburn, Ind. to Naomi Newman George and the late Robert F. George. Nancy was a kind, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a dental hygienist, laboratory research assistant, bank teller, teacher's aide and co-founded Teapots & Treasures Estate Sales. She was creative, spunky and never met a stranger. Nancy had a volunteer spirit, working with Jackson House and Potter's Clay and organizing women's retreats in the Village. She was loved by all those whose lives she touched. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Joe Spradlin of Hot Springs Village; daughters, Shawn Harlan (Chris Koknat) of Cupertino, Calif., Elaine Lockwood of Spring, Texas, Emily Pratt (John) of Hot Springs Village, Christy Vahlberg (John) of Mountain View, Calif. and Suzanne Robertson of Spring, Texas; mother, Naomi George of Hot Springs, formerly of Auburn, Ind.; siblings, Martha George and Reeta George, both of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Gary George (Sharon) of Auburn, Ind. and seven grandsons. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8 at Village United Methodist Church with Rev. John Atherton and Dr. George McCoy officiating.
