Billy Paul Ramsey

Billy Paul Ramsey Sr., 84 of Wynne, passed away Wednesday at his home. He was born January 5, 1930 in Kensett, Ark. to the late Paul and Gladys Lula Wallace Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey was of the Pentecostal faith and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he was wounded in action. Having served in the Army he was awarded many medals, including the Combat Infantryman Badge for his service to his country. He was a master plumber for 53 years and owner of Bill Ramsey Plumbing. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Debbie Griffin and a sister, Mary Ann Lindsey. Survivors include his wife, Joan Leslie Ramsey of Wynne; four sons, Willie Ramsey, Leslie (Nub) Ramsey, Jeffery Ramsey and John Ramsey, all of Wynne; two daughters, Linda Ramsey Fowler of Wynne and Dianne Ramsey of Little Rock; two brothers, David Burris Ramsey of Wynne and Terry Ramsey of Little Rock; one sister, Betty Lou Pressgrove of Ozark; half-sister, Angela Delancy of Harrisburg; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Apostolic United Pentecostal Church in Wynne with Bro. Brandon Mize, Bro. Jamie Franks and Bro. John Ison officiating. Visitation is 12-2 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial at Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne. Pallbearers are John Ramsey, Jeff Ramsey, Willie Ramsey, Nub Ramsey, John Hunter Ramsey, Tyler Griffin, Dillon Ramsey, Kade Triplett and Terry Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Hill, Roland Lelsie, Loyd Leslie, Ronnie Clegg, David Ramsey Jr., David Ramsey Sr., Wayne Fowler, Keith Griffin, Johnny Barnett and Brody Eaton.
