Karon Deloise Hill Carter

Mrs. Karon Deloise Hill Carter, 65, of Conway died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. Mrs. Carter was a native of Hamburg, a resident of Conway for the past 10 years and a former resident of Little Rock. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1967 and Ouachita University in 1972. She was a homemaker, an artist and enjoyed painting. She loved her family and loved spending time with them. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Carter; a daughter, Katie Ellen Shumate; a son, Caleb Carter; her parents, Maxwell Hill and Eloise Bates Hill and a brother, Tracy Hill. She is survived by a son, John Kirk Carter and wife, Ann of London, England; daughter, Michael Carter Mitchell and husband, John of Yellville; a son-in-law, Duncan Shumate of Conway; four brothers, Dean Hill of Hamburg, Ricky Hill of Placerville, Calif., Phillip Hill and Walter Hill, both of Hamburg; a sister, Charlun Brett of Nashville; six grandchildren, Avy Carter, Caleb and Haley Mitchell, Aiden, Abbie Kate and Carter Shumate and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial were 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hamburg Cemetery, with Rev. Warren Finney officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N.
