Lenord C. Harrington

Lenord C. "L.C." Harrington of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 27, 1930 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the son of the late Olin Winfred and Virginia Clark Harrington. He was a member and Deacon at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where he served his Lord faithfully. He was honored in 2011 as one of three volunteers in the state by the Arkansas Health Care Foundation after teaching Sunday School at the Grant County Nursing Home for 35 years. He was a retired truck driver and also retired later from Fiser's Grocery Store. L.C. died at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 84. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Winfred Harrington. Survivors; loving and devoted wife for 63 years, Margaret Hamner Harrington of Sheridan; sons, David and wife Traci Harrington of Sheridan, Ron and wife Connie Harrington of Prattsville; brother, Hosea Harrington of Sheridan; sister, Elizabeth Baxley of Sheridan; six grandchildren, Allen Harper (Shauna), Shelby James (Jesse), Tyler and Taylor Harrington , Megan and Marissa Harrington; four great-grandchildren, Cody and Mia Harper, Emma and Garrett James, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Landmark Baptist Church with Bro. Shawn Hill and Bro. Jim Wagner. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made First Landmark Baptist Church, 402 West Center, Sheridan, Ark. 72150. The family would like to thank Baptist Health Sheridan and Dr. William Highsmith, Baptist Home Health and Baptist Hospice for the wonderful care they provided him during his illness.
