Norris Hall Anderson

Norris Hall Anderson, of Tuckerman, Ark., died in Little Rock on December 19, 2014. She was born May 26, 1912, in Calico Rock, Ark, and lived 102 years, seven months, and 23 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel E. Anderson Sr.; her parents, Hubert and Jeffie Hays Hall; her sister, Wanda Hall Johnson and brother-in-law, Joe Johnson; her sons-in-law, Robert Kramer and Claude Schiller. She is survived by two daughters: Camille Anderson Kramer of O'Fallon, Mo., and Wanda Jean Anderson Schiller of Louisville, Ky.; and one son, Joel E. Anderson Jr. and daughter-in-law, Ann Gaskill Anderson of Little Rock. She is also survived by three granddaughters and five grandsons and their spouses: Donna Kramer Oliver (Chuck) of St. Peters, Mo.; Sharon Kramer Prater (Tonie), of St. Charles, Mo.; Bob and Melanie Malloy Kramer of O'Fallon, Mo.; Linda Kramer Kyser (Phil) of Troy, Mo.; Kevin and Angie Loi Gibson of Louisville, Ky.; Lincoln and Linda Woolf Anderson of Tulsa, Ok.; Deverick and Ann Meislohn Anderson of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Mitchell and Monika Schurgerova Anderson of Olomouc, Czech Republic. Her grandchildren blessed her with 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was valedictorian of her senior class at Tuckerman High School and a graduate of Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tenn. For 36 years the family lived on a farm outside Swifton where she was active in the Swifton PTA and served as its president. Several times she and friend Nola Brown conducted the school census for the Swifton School District. She and her family were active members of the Tuckerman Church of Christ where she was for many years a Sunday School teacher. She is remembered by her children as a loving mother and remarkably strong woman who lived alone in Tuckerman for 23 years as a widow. At age 94 she moved to Presbyterian Village in Little Rock. The family expresses special appreciation to Monika and Michael Prysock of Tuckerman and to the staff of Presbyterian Village in Little Rock for the care and attention they extended to her. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday, December 20, 2014, 5-7 p.m. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, December 21, at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Gracelawn Cemetery.
