ALLEEN R. OBERSTE (MEMA), 87, of Little Rock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Little Rock to John D.A. Campbell and Wilma Blevins Campbell, she was a long time member of Holy Souls Catholic Church. Alleen is now re-united with her husband, George, and her son, Steve. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Susan Ross, Linda Withrow (With), Carol Oberste and Lisa Finne (Tim), along with sons, David Oberste (Barbara) and Paul Oberste (Jane), all of Little Rock. Her legacy is also evident in the 20 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren she temporarily leaves here. Though small in stature, Mema was a pillar of strength in her love of the Church and the raising of her seven children. Though we grieve her passing, we are heartened to know that she is now in the presence of God. Visitation will began at 6 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. this evening (Sunday) in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, AR 72204 (501) 661-9111. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church, with Fr. Thomas Marks, celebrant. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church at 1003 N. Tyler, Little Rock, AR 72205. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
