Doris Hazel Suitor

Doris Hazel Thomason Suitor, age 86, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born Dec. 11, 1928 in Graysonia the daughter of the late Quincy Andrew and Middy Jane Spear Thomason. Hazel was co-owner of Suitor's Grocery for many years and also worked at Henderson State University. She attended the Bismarck Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with friends and their little dog, Peewee. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gill Suitor; one son, Mark Suitor; one sister, Alma Widener and two brothers, Duke and Lemual Thomason. Hazel is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Richard)Thomas of Gurdon, Gail (Randy) Marshall of Bismarck and one son, Bobby (Dorinda) Suitor of Arkadelphia; one brother, Joe Thomason of Santa Rosa, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Darren and Dustin Suitor, Keith Fairchild, Amanda Burroughs, Julie Cardwell, Zach Myers, Carrie Flora and Becky Gaines and 13 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
