William L. "Butch" Burton

William L. "Butch" Burton, 69, of Monticello passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1945 in Greenwood, Miss. to the late Henry Garrett "H.G." Burton and Benny White Burton. He was owner/operator of Burton's Welding, a United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Esther Jones Burton of Monticello; two sons, Matthew Burton and wife, Crystal of El Dorado and Nick Burton and wife Assa of Calgary, Canada; one brother, Troy Burton and wife Peggy of Monticello; one grandson, Sawyer Burton of Calgary, Canada; three granddaughters, Bethany Burton of Hot Springs, Ashlyn Cook and Alexis Cook, both of El Dorado; three nephews, Jeremy Burton of Monticello, Keith Burton of Searcy and Isaac Combs of Washington, D. C. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
