Ralph Edward Rounsavall

Ralph Edward Rounsavall peacefully passed away at the age of 91 at his home in North Hollywood, California. Born and raised in Hazen, Arkansas, the middle of five children of Marcie (Stratton) and Frank Rounsavall. He was a World War II veteran, who served in both the Air Force and the Army. Ralph resided in the Los Angeles area for over 73 years from Santa Monica to the San Fernando Valley. Preceded in death by his eldest brother, Elmo Rounsavall, eldest sister, Margaret (Rounsavall) Rieke, younger brother, Charles (Lindy) Rounsavall and youngest brother, Stratton Rounsavall. He shared a lifelong passion for Science, Astrophysics, Technology, physical fitness, competitive Ballroom dancing, hang gliding, and was always true to his adventurous free spirit. Ralph never turned down an opportunity to play a mean harmonica or sing a song. His love of flying which included piloting a small Cessna Air Coupe around the Southern United States from Chattanooga to Little Rock, extended into taking up hang gliding at the age of 51. After a decade of jumping off cliffs, he took his flying to a computer screen via flight simulators. His enthusiasm for ballroom dancing continued for over 50 years, shared with his wife until his 90th year. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His beautiful spirit and warmhearted smile will be forever cherished by his loved ones, his wife of 50 years, Eve Rounsavall, his son, Jason Rounsavall, his daughter, Colette Rounsavall-Fowler and his three grandchildren, Pilar, Soleil, and Emerson Fowler.
