James William Mansfield

James William "J.W." Mansfield, 77, of Searcy, died Tuesday, December 30. He was born August 1, 1937 in Dumas, Arkansas, the son of William Mansfield and Mabel Rash. J.W. is survived by his wife, Ruby; two brothers, Jimmy Mansfield and Bobby Thornberry; a step-son, L.N. Durham; a step-daughter, Virginia Yarbrough; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a step-daughter, Bertha; a brother, Carl; a sister Barbara. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services following 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in White County Memorial Gardens. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
