Charlie Ricks

Charlie Ricks, 62 of Sherwood, died Monday, January 27, 2014. Charlie was born January 2, 1952 in North Little Rock to the late Ulysses and Aquilla (Henry) Ricks. He is also preceded in death by brother, Booker Ricks and sister, Bobbie Ricks. Mr. Ricks served in the US Navy and was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Veria (Hamburg) Ricks; son Charles Ricks (Sonya); grandchildren Cameron, Sydney, and Caleb Ricks; and siblings Leon, Ulysses Jr., Billy (Juanita), Theartis (Marion), Jethro (Carol), Alfonso (Sharon), Tommy, Donald (Angie), Carrie, and Lois Hood (Melvin). Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Arkansas Funeral Care, Jacksonville. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Somers Avenue Church of Christ, with burial following at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
