Dorothy Blanch Childress

Dorothy Blanch Childress, 91, of Bauxite, passed away February 3, 2014. She was born April 11, 1922 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Sherman and Rose Thomas Reid. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and husband, Albert Childress. Survivors, sons, Albert Childress and wife, Margie of Bauxite, Howard Dale Childress and wife, Doris of Bauxite, daughters, Patsy June Gutheridge Soares and husband, Norman of Bauxite, Loretta Blanch Vocque and husband, Juke of Bauxite, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great- grandchildren. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Thursday with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ashbys.
