Edith Marie Mullen Sweetin

Edith Marie Mullen Sweetin, age 79, of Tichnor, died Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born January 10, 1935 in Ethel to Elmo H. and Mamie Mae Padgett Sweetin who preceded her death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald Sweetin and son, Donald Wade Sweetin. Survivors include her son and his wife: Lee and Tanya Sweetin of Little Rock, daughter-in-law, Pam Sweetin; grandchildren: Bradley Sweetin (Pamela), Hunter Sweetin (Mallory), Will Sweetin and Lindsey Sweetin. She was a homemaker, member of Arkansas Post DAR, secretary/treasurer of Tichnor Baptist Church and trustee of Bonner's Chapel Cemetery. Loving mother and grandmother, she gave to her family and friends to make sure their lives were complete. She loved gardening, flowers and the outdoors. A true famer's wife. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5th, at Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt, with the funeral service following at 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bonner's Chapel Cemetery.
