Linda Gail Geater Jones

Linda Gail Geater Jones, 59, of Humphrey died Monday, February 3, 2014, at St. Vincent's Health in Little Rock. Gail was born July 9, 1954, in Brinkley. She was retired from Arkansas Department of Health after working as a clerk in Heber Springs and Stuttgart offices. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Rogers Dunlap; and a sister, Danita Gillespie. Survivors are two children, Amy Tarkington and husband Will of Almyra and Matt Jones and wife Jacqueline of DeValls Bluff; her father, Ed Geater and wife Mary Ann of Stuttgart; her step-mother who raised her, Katherine Hopper of Mississippi; the father of her children, Ronnie Jones and wife Kim of DeValls Bluff; two brothers, David Geater and wife Shirley of Cabot and Edward Lynn Geater and wife Karen of Benton; two sisters, Lajuan Robinson of California and Connie Flowers of Greers Ferry; and four grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey and Kalli Tarkington and Garrett Jones. Funeral services, officiating by the Rev. Hart Moore, are 1 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Hazen Cemetery.
