CURTIS LEE BURCHFIELD, age 86, of Gravel Ridge went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Jo, and we rejoice in their reunion once again. Curtis was a charter member of Gravel Ridge Baptist Church, lifetime member of Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge No. 754, executive committee member for the Gravel Ridge Cemetery, and served many years as the Chief of the Volunteer Gravel Ridge Fire Department. He is survived by two daughters, Susan Lute with husband George, and Camille Walker with husband Randy. He has four granddaughters including: Marty Lute, Georgette Sierra with husband Chris, Jamie Carmichael with husband Bobby, and Jodie Walker. Surviving great-grandchildren include: Tori Lute, Jacob, Caden, and Ellie Sierra, Bryson and Raelyn Carmichael. He is also survived by three remaining siblings of 12 including Dee Burchfield, Dewey Burchfield, and Lavern Hughes. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home of JFK in North Little Rock (501) 791-7400. The funeral services will be on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Gravel Ridge. Interment will follow at Gravel Ridge Cemetery.
