Dorothy Harriell Ellis

Dorothy Harriell Ellis, 85, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. She was born in Little Rock, AR to the late William Leslie and Eula Bratton Harriell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Wade Thompson. Dorothy attended Park Hill Christian Church. She retired from Crow-Burlingame and was co-owner of Ellis Jewelers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and she will be missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 66 years and 8 months, Donald D. Ellis; daughter, Cindy Ellis Lang (Walt); grandchildren, Sarah Lang (Jake Fahy), Leslie Lang Bowman (Aaron) and Walter Ellis Lang; and great-granddaughter, Anna Bowman; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
