Leo E. Small

Leo E. Small, age 88, of Glenwood, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born February 13, 1926, in the Mount Tabor community, the son of A.L. Small and Isabell Nancy Dillard Small. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and retired from the Soil Conservation Service as an Inspector. He enjoyed spending time outdoors on his farm, watching all kinds of sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks, but his greatest love was being with his family. Leo was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but will forever remain in each of their hearts. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Edith Small of Glenwood; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Small, his best friend and companion, of Glenwood, and Jeff and Jeanette Small of Atkins; two grandchildren, Heath Kizer and Heather Albright, and her husband, Danny; two great-grandsons, Athan Kizer and Reid Albright; one sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Doug Hawkins of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. James Owens officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
