Kathleen "Kay" Devereaux Hinze

Kathleen "Kay" Devereaux Hinze, 72, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away at a Hot Springs hospital Saturday December 28, 2013. She was born May 23, 1941 in St. Johns, New Foundland, Canada to the late Jack and Kay (Cole) Devereaux. Kay was a former employee of Lake Hamilton Resort and worked at the Embassy Suites for the last four years. She was a friend to many and was a help and mentor to young people. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna; brothers, Randy, Melvie, and Michael. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Tommy Hinze; daughters, Michelle Haynie (Mark), Kimberly Gillespie, Heather Hayden (Marty); brothers, Tommy and Johnny; sisters, Liz, Mary, Maureen, Shelly, Valerie, Barbie and ten grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with rosary at 6 p.m. at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak, Arkansas. Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Father Joey Marconi officiating. Burial will follow at St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chris Berg, Shane Hinze, Gary Haynes, Rick Van Valkenberg, Mark Hinze, and Andy Lisko. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
