Robert G. Smith

Robert G. Smith, 73, went to be with our Lord, family and friends in heaven on January 6, 2014. Bob was of the Baptist faith and a Mason. He is survived by Claudia Smith (baby), love of his life and best friend. Son: Brian Smith and wife Dotie of Greenbrier. Daughter: Donna Stewmon (baby two) and husband Scott of Mabelvale. Brother: Thomas Smith and wife Pat of Little Rock. Brother, Michael Smith of Malvern. Twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob served four years in the U.S. Navy and spent twenty two years in West Virginia where he was employed in three different power plants. He moved to Arkansas and worked 16 years with Arkansas Power & Light, Redfield, Arkansas. He was a stationary engineer at Arkansas State Building Services. Other employments were with Moix RV and NorthPoint Goldstar. Bob enjoyed reading, traveling, country music and visiting with family and friends. Memorial services will be held at Ironton Baptist Church, in Little Rock on January 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. officiated by Dr. Sydney Thompson.
