Patsy Ellis Allison, a long-time resident of Forrest City, passed away on January 8th. Mrs. Allison was born August 26th in Hampton, Arkansas and was the daughter of Abner and Irma Ellis. She attended Henderson Sate Teachers' College where she met and later married Robert (Bob) Allison on January 8, 1955. They resided in Forrest City where she taught for many years. Mrs. Allison is survived by her children Debbie Hill and husband Woodson of Heth, Arkansas; Vicki Schmitt and husband Hal of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Dr. Robert (Pete) Allison of Russellville, Kentucky, and Peggy Curry and husband Mark of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is also survived by four grandchildren Joseph Hill, Robert Hill, Sarah Carey, and Emily Latimer, and two great-gandchildren Jane Ellis Hill and Aubrey Claire Hill. Mrs. Allison served as a board member on the Literary Council of St. Francis County, taught English as a Second Language, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Cosmos, and Musical Cotorie. She was also was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Services, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, will be Saturday, January 11 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery.
