Bobby Don Jacobs, the youngest child of Fearel and Lucy (Bridges) Jacobs, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2014, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born in Clarksville, Arkansas on September 12, 1952. He lived in the Springhill area as a child and attended the Hartman School as a young boy. At the age of 7 he moved to Clarksville and attended Clarksville schools. Bobby is the grandson of Charles and Etta Jacobs and John Franklin and Savannah Smith Bridges. Bobby was a certified scuba diver, where he used his skills in underwater car extractions and was a dedicated paramedic for 18 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his line of work. He was a paramedic in Tulsa, Benton, Texarkana and Dallas. He worked in Little Rock as a dispatcher for Angel 1. He attended the garland Co. Community College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic. Bobby was a lifelong Baptist, recently returning to worship at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where he also attended the Men's Bible Worship. Bobby was a kind loving man, who loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor, for which he will always be remembered for. He had a passion for the outdoors, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and an infant brother. He is survived by three children, Greta Roughley and husband, Damian, of Clarksville, Stacy Butler and husband, Rhett, of Clarksville and Kevin Jacobs and wife, Delta, of Clarksville; grandchildren, Kaleb and Kole Jacobs, Jacob and Jack Butler, and Kennedy Jacobs who is on the way; three sisters, Jean Iddings of Clever, Mo., Shirley Price of Clarksville and Phyllis Galbreath of Nashville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Jacobs' funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, with h Bruce Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Kendall Cemetery.
