Marjorie E. Barkley

Marjorie (Marge) Barkley, 91, formerly of Little Rock, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, December 10, in Plano, Texas. Marge was born April 10, 1922, in Hamburg, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Marjorie and Marion Bujarski. Marge worked at CBS, Channel 11, in Little Rock and was retired from Texas Eastern Transmission (Spectra Energy). She is survived by her children, Michael Barkley of NLR, Pat Barkley of Richardson, Texas, and Pam Russell of Dallas, Texas. Also surviving is Marge's beloved grandson, Christopher Russell, of Melissa, Texas. Her survivors will cherish memories of her humor and her larger-than-life presence, and love her for exposing them to a wide variety of music, art, and literature. A memorial service will be held at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR, at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 24.
