Mr. Ronald W. Huckabee (Ronnie) age 66, passed away at St. Vincent's infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 20, 2014 following his seventh surgery in six years. Ronald was born to Thomas Glenon and Billie Bryant Huckabee on July 30, 1947 in Hope, Arkansas. Ronnie loved the lord and it showed in how he lived his life. He was a member of First Christian Church of Hope. When Ronnie retired from Hope Auto in 2012 he enjoyed fishing in his pond with his brother-in-law, James Parker Dickerson. He fed his fish daily using his golf cart "The Green Hornet". Ronnie was talented at tying his own baits. With his loving and giving spirit he had, he enjoyed giving his prized baits to others for free. If you were not blessed to have met this sweet gentle man, you missed a bright spot in your life. Our lives are better for being blessed to be his family. Our lives will never be the same without him. Ronnie always had a smile on his face and spread happiness wherever he went. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Huckabee and nephew, Gregory Parker Dickerson. Those left to cherish their loved ones memory are his father, Thomas Glenon Huckabee of Emmet; sister, Glenda Dickerson and brother-in-law, James Parker Dickerson (his best buddy); aunts, Dorothy Huckabee of Hope, Jean Stokes of Prescott and Hazel Bright of Prescott. Ronnie will be missed by his cousins and many friends who loved him dearly. Ronnie's feline friend, Thomas misses him so much. Ronnie's family would like to thank the nurses, staff and Dr. Peter Kim and Dr. John Jones at St. Vincent's Hospital for the care and love Ronnie received. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014 between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hope Animal Shelter for needed supplies through Hope For Paws, c/o Carol Robinson (include note stating what donation is for), 2858 Highway 174 South, Hope, Arkansas 71801.
