Mary Lucille Harrison Ollar

Mary Lucille Harrison Ollar, 87 of Star City, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1927 in Star City to the late Rex William, Sr. and Euist Burr Harrison. Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church in Star City and a 1945 graduate of Star City High School. She was retired co-owner of Ollar's Thriftway (City Market) in Star City from 1957-1984 and Office Manager for Griffin Funeral Service in Star City from 1985-2009. Lucille also served on the Board of Directors at the Bank of Star City for 25 years. Besides her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Ollar Sr. and brother, Rex William Harrison Jr. Survivors include one son, L. Elwin (Marilyn) Ollar, Jr. of Searcy; one daughter, Sylvia Lou Ollar of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren. Funeral Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Star City with Bro. J.C. Patterson officiating. Visitation is 12-1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
