Tommy Lee Ford

Tommy Lee Ford, 84, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died, Friday, July 4, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Chicot, Ark. to Lucian Atkins and Lula Moody Stuart Ford. Mr. Ford was reared and educated in McGehee, graduating from McGehee High School in 1947. He had worked for Arkansas Power and Light, now known as Entergy, for 42 years, before retiring in 1992, as a Division Stores Assistant. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rheba Mize Ford, whom he married on Dec. 28, 1969, in Pine Bluff; an infant daughter, Christine Ford; his parents; a step son, Tommy Harrell; a sister, Dorothy Lou Gilliam; brothers, Bob Ford and Dr. Lucian Ford. Survivors include his step sons, Donnie Harrell of Kearney, Mo., Jimmy Harrell of Pine Bluff, Lonnie Harrell of Pine Bluff, Ronnie Harrell of Pine Bluff; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, at Robinson's. A graveside service conducted by Ralph Robinson & Son will be, 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at McGehee Cemetery with Reverend John Bean officiating.
