Leo Grebe

Leo Grebe passed away Thursday July 10 in Hot Springs, Ark. A native of New Franklin, Mo., Dr. Grebe lived for 32 years in St. Charles, Mo., retiring to Hot Springs in 2001. A former educator and businessman, he most recently worked as a real estate agent Hot Springs. Dr. Grebe graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo., and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a high school principle in Grant City, Mo, at age 25. He later owned Bonanza restaurant franchises in the St. Louis area. He was the author of three books and a lively piano player. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Robinson Grebe of Hot Springs; his son, David Grebe of New York City; his daughter, Jan Wagner and her husband, Larry Wagner of Tokyo; and grandsons, Maxwell and Zane Wagner. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Keith Grebe of Joplin, Mo. Services for Dr. Grebe will be held Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at Pullman Heights United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
