PRISCILLA "SCILLA" GENTRY, 91, of North Little Rock, Ark. passed away on July 11, 2014. She was born in Osawatomie, Kan., on Aug. 24, 1922, to the late Charlotte and Clyde Gentry. Priscilla was a beloved member of her family, a devout Christian, and a very patriotic US citizen. Priscilla was a cornerstone member of First Presbyterian Church in North Little Rock where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and cooked large fellowship dinners for the congregation. She was a significant part of raising four generations of her extended family who adore her. She retired from Dun and Bradstreet, Little Rock, where she worked throughout her career as a mail clerk and typist. Her interests included tending to her roses, eating her favorite desserts, taking her exercise, baking cheese cake and chocolate chip cookies, reading the bible daily, listening to gospel music and planning birthday dinners and holiday celebrations for her large family and loved ones. Priscilla is survived by a niece, Barbara Davis of North Little Rock; two great-nieces, Charlotte Nirenberg and husband Brin of Cabot, Judith Allen and husband Tim of Mayflower; two great-nephews, Michael Davis and wife Christina of Mayflower and Tommy Davis and wife Shari of North Little Rock; a fourth generation niece, Sarah Ross and husband Drew of Crossett; two fourth generation nephews, Cody Kelley and finance Savannah of Conway and Justin Matthews and wife Ashley of Hensley; and two fifth generation nieces, Saylor and Isabel Ross of Crossett; and one fifth generation nephew, Koen Matthews of Hensley; and so many more friends and family who cherished her greatly. Her strong faith, love and selfless giving was a guiding light and foundation to our family, her church and all around her. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Marian L. Smith. Services will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church-Argenta, North Little Rock, Ark. at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 15, 2014. Graveside service to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.
