Helen Gloria Dunn

Helen Gloria Dunn went to her Heavenly Home to be with our Lord on Friday, July 11, 2014. She was affectionately known to her Family as "Mammoo." Gloria was born to William H. and Helen Grace Oliphant Dessent on March 23, 1940 in Camden, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Joshua David Dunn. Gloria loved her family and was a homemaker. During her later years, she overcame difficulties of living with paralysis after suffering a major stroke in her early 60's. She persevered on a daily basis carrying on with life and taking care of her husband of 57 years. Gloria's favorite verse was II Corinthians 5:8-9. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him." Gloria is survived by her husband, William Franklin Dunn of Branson West, Mo. whom she married on Sept. 5, 1958 in Camden, Ark. She is also survived by her four children, William David Dunn and wife Tina of Lowell, Ark., Helen Rebecca Alston and husband, Jack of Tontitown, Ark., Paul Matthew Dunn of Branson West, Mo. and John Michael Dunn and wife Susan of Fayetteville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Keri Jones and husband Chad of Springfield, Mo., Kristiana, Remington and Dodger Dunn of Springfield, Mo., Ashley and John David Alston of Tontitown, Ark., Jenny and Sara Dunn of Junction City, La., Jacob, Lila and Tyler Dunn of Fayetteville, Ark.; four great-grandchildren, Mattie Dunn of Branson, Mo., Zachariah, Micah and Luke Jones of Springfield, Mo.; two step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stapleton and children Jacob and Madeline of Fayetteville, Ark., and Carolyn Donald-Alston of Washington, D.C. Funeral arrangements are by Proctor Funeral Home of Camden, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Faustina Methodist Church in Faustina, Ark. with Brother Jeremy Langley, the great-nephew of Gloria, officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are David Dunn, Paul Dunn, Michael Dunn, Chad Jones, Dr. Jack Alston, John David Alston and Honorary Pallbearers Keri Dunn Jones, Joe Johnson, Lt. Col Carroll Wayne Dunn, Vernon "Red" Dunn and Mike Wynn. Interment will be at Dunn Cemetery in Faustina. The family will be at Ida Lou and Joe Johnson's home in Faustina.
