Frances Maddox Sims

Frances Maddox Sims, 75, of McGehee, Arkansas died on July 13, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Frances was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on April 20, 1939 to the late Morrison and Ruby Biggs Maddox. She was married to Doyle Sims for 57 years. Frances was City Clerk of McGehee, Ark. for 17 years before retiring. She loved to cook, go shopping, sew, and she was an avid reader. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of McGehee. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Brose and her son-in-law, Jim Gorrell. Survivors include her husband, Doyle Sims; son, Brad (Stella) Sims of McGehee, Ark.; daughters, Nena Sims Gorrell of Columbus, Miss. and Connie Sims Moss of McGehee, Ark.; sister, Diane Fuller of Watson, Ark. and five grandchildren. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church of McGehee in McGehee, Ark. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday July 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church of McGehee in McGehee, Ark., with Rev. Ed Balducci officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar, Arkansas.
