Denis Michael Murphy

Denis Michael Murphy of North Little Rock passed away July 16, 2014 at the age of 57 in his beloved home on wheels, "Free Bird". Suddenly and shockingly he succumbed to complications brought on by pneumonia. Denis was born a navy kid on October 11, 1956 at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico. He is survived by siblings Bill, Bob, Dee, Maureen, and Patrick; former spouse Sandra, son Denis James, daughter April, and granddaughter London. He is preceded in death by father Denis Joseph, mother Phyliss, and sister, Patricia. An informal wake will be held in his honor at Free Bird on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Riverside RV Park (250 S. Locust, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114). A formal memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roller Funeral Homes (5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116).501-791-7400. He was a quiet man, but if he could he would tell you to grieve for him by finding a way to live just exactly the life you want to live, taking an immediate trip somewhere difficult to get to, putting something loud on the radio -- preferably with a good bass line, and having a toast or two in his name.
