Margaret Burton Jordan of Camden passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. She was born in Monticello, Arkansas December 23,1930 to the late Dolly and Stanley Burton. She is survived by her husband, James F. Jordan; two sons, Fred and his wife, Robbie, Mike and his wife, Raimee, all from Ft. Smith; her daughter, Judy Jordan and her husband, Ray Woody of Atlanta. She also leaves one sister, Joy Akin Harris (Hamburg); and one brother, Roma Gene Burton (Monticello); five grandchildren, Buddy, Rachel (Evan), Mason, Jonathan (Danika), Jacob (Marta); and two great grandchildren, Jimmy Jordan and Jonas Adams. Margaret's greatest loves were her husband, James of 65 years and her family. She was very active in her church and her community. She served as state-wide Jaycette President, Fred Whiteside PTA President and was Camden's first Welcome Wagon hostess. Her ultimate joy was being surrounded by family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. the First Baptist Church in Camden on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
