Milton Wayne Halford, 71, of Lawrenceville, Ga. died July 12, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born Aug. 14, 1942 in Ulm, Ark. to Sherman and Martha Schroeder Halford. Milton graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1961 and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in 1966. He was a well know CPA in Little Rock for 45 years. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and served in the Lutheran church. An avid reader, he also loved traveling with Tommie, fishing with Rip, sailing with Bill and gardening. In 2007 he retired and moved to Georgia to be near family. He was predeceased by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Tommie Spoon Halford (8th grade sweetheart); four children, Mark Halford (Sheila) of Beebe, Ark., Hope Larisey (Frank) of Newnan, Ga.; step-son, John Cox (Pam) of London, Ky.; step-daughter, Robin Smith (Norm) of Lawrenceville, Ga; six grandchildren, Stormye Hope Stevens of Dallas, Texas, Byars, Baylee & Bryson Halford of Beebe, Ark., Kent Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga,, Whitney Saville (Mike) of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and two great-grandsons, Hudson and Noah Saville; two brothers, Alvin Halford (Leanne) of Jacksonville, Ark., Carl Halford (Susan) of Melbourne, Fla; two goddaughters, Teresa Menifee (Torran) of Springdale, Ark. and Savannah Wray of Maumelle, Ark.; one uncle, Herb Schroeder of Searcy, Ark.; and many beloved cousins; nephews, and nieces. A visitation and memorial will be Sunday, July 27 from 2-4 p.m. at Union Valley Baptist Church of Beebe, Ark. followed by a graveside service at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heifer International or the American Cancer Society.
