Helen Brewer, 77, of Little Rock departed this life July 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by; maternal grandmother, Pearl Grant; mother, Pearlie Mae Holloway; father, James Beale; husband, Joseph Brewer. She was an avid scriptural reader, loved music and had one actual (published) song, "Nobody but Jesus." She has been president of Mother's Board and mission and the primary Adult Women Sunday School teacher. She was known for her pound cakes and making crochet caps. Always one to do a fundraiser!!! She loved to fish. Her unique beauty and beautiful smile will always be cherished. She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Rev. Jerry (Kate) Black Sr. of Atlanta, Ga., Samuel Black of Blytheville, Ark., Denise (Kenneth) Kelley of Sherwood, Ark., George King Jr. of Little Rock, Ark., Joey Holloway of Birmingham, Ala., Evon Black of Washington, D.C.; God daughter, Aisha Bradford; siblings, Emma Mae Pierson of Little Rock, Ark., Will Jones Jr. of San Diego, Calif, Jessie Rankins of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tangie Black-Moore, Jerry Black Jr; Erica Black, Terica Taylor, Samuel Black Jr, Kimberly Black, Cynthia Wilkins, Charlene Plummer, Cassandra Brandon, Ebony Kelley- Moss, Candida Kelley, Tameka Kelley, Dennis Robinson II, Alicia King ; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
