Bill W. Green

Bill W. Green, 87, of Fort Smith, died July 23, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born July 22, 1927 in Muldrow, Okla. to Orville and Annie Buffington Green. He was a retired employee of the United Food and Commercial Works International, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Jean Dancer Green of the Home; three daughters, Jean Cousins of Fort Smith, Jan and husband Harold Smith of Van Buren, Connie and husband Don Bergeson of Fort Smith; and step-daughter, Rhonda Re'na Bland of Joplin, Mo.; one son, Jackie and wife Rhonda Green of Roland, Okla.; and step-son, Rodney and wife Leslie Bland of Bentonville, Ark.; one sister, Geneva Helmer of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one step-grandchild. Funeral service will be Monday, July 28, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in the Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with honors all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
