Michael Louis (Mickey) Buchanan

Michael Louis (Mickey) Buchanan, long time resident of Conway and Sherwood, Ark., died May 27, 2014 in Conway, Ark. He was born Nov. 12, 1945 in Denver, Colo. He was the son of Venson Louis and Winnie Inez Buchanan. He married Judith (Judy) Ann Rucker on Aug. 18, 1967 in Little Rock, Ark. Mickey served in the Army National Guard for four years. He was the former owner and founder of Air Tech Services in Sherwood, a former employee of Acxiom in Conway, a former employee of Comfort Systems in Sherwood, and retired from RP Power in North Little Rock. He was a member of Big Island Hunting Club near Sheridan. Mickey was a member of Cherrywood Missionary Baptist Church in Sherwood. Mickey is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Michael Louis Buchanan Jr. (Melanie) of Sherwood, and Jennifer Karan (Randy) Strickland of Vilonia; grandchildren, Michael, Louis, Lochlain, and Tegan; plus special family, Belinda Duncan and her children, Brenna and Jep. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; and son, James David Buchanan. A memorial service will be held at Baring Cross Baptist Church in Sherwood, Ark. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
