Kyle Payne Clark

Kyle Payne Clark, 29, of Sherwood, Arkansas, was born May 11, 1985, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Patti Clark and the late Monty Clark and passed away on June 3, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, Glenwood Monroe (Monty) Clark of Columbus, Ga.; his maternal grandmother, Junne Payne Jackson (lovingly known as Granny) of Sherwood, Ark.; and his paternal grandfather, John Clark, of Jacksonville, Florida. Kyle proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps serving two years in Japan and voluntarily deploying to Afghanistan just months before his discharge of active duty. His service with the Marines was from October 2005 to October 2013, recently receiving his Honorable Discharge certificate. Kyle is survived by his sons, Jaxxon Payne Clark and Jace Carter Gatlin of Alexander, Ark.; mother, Patti Clark; Billy Mudge, both of Sherwood, Ark.; the love of his life, Kim Gatlin of Alexander, Ark.; brother, Jonathan Clark (Brianna) of Port Orange, Fla.; grandmother, Martha Scruggs Clark of Jacksonville, Fla.; aunt, Jimmie Birdsong; cousins, Breck Birdsong of Sherwood, Ark., and Aaron Birdsong of Rogers, Ark. and many, many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Memorial service in honor of Kyle's life will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at First Christian Church of Sherwood, 2803 East Kiehl Avenue, with a military service beginning at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 1501 West Maryland Avenue in Sherwood.
