James Madison Lee

James Madison Lee, 84, of Benton passed away on Friday June 6, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on April 30, 1930 to Bud Lee and Rachel Childress Lee in Saline County, Arkansas. He was retired Veteran of the US Navy and the Saline County Water Department. James was Past Adjutant of the American Legion Post #19 in Benton, and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. James was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 63 years, Eileen Foley Lee. James is survived by his sons, Jim Lee (Gail), of Rogers, Steve Lee (Sharon) and Eddie Lee, of Benton; daughter, Kathy Harper (David), Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Chad Lee, Jackson, Tenn., Amanda Fox, Fayetteville, Cliff Lee, Little Rock, and Kara Norton, Benton; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Ross Lee (Sue) and John Lee; and sister, Margie Hughes (Don), all of Benton; many nieces and nephews. The ashes of James will be joining Eileen's on the island of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Arrangements were made by Ashby Funeral Home. No local services will be held.
