Barbara Sue Griep

Barbara Sue "GG" Griep, 79, of Hot Springs, Arkansas died Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was born January 25,1935 in Macon, Missouri to Herman and Iva Baker Nash. A spirited woman, mom managed the home for 55 years and loved tennis, golf and travel. She had a generous heart. She supported and volunteered for many causes. Sue was preceded in death by husband William, "Mr. Bill," Griep; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Gary) Gabbert of Blue Springs, Missouri and Julie (Scott) Luton of Carl Junction, Missouri; one son, Douglas Griep of Garland, Texas; three granddaughters, Sarah (Matt) Gabbert-Brown, Laura (Steven) Windisch and Jordan Luton; two grandsons, Jackson Luton (fiancée, Gabrielle Mohr) and Benjamin Luton; great-grandson, Louis Brown; one sister, Genevieve Nash Shearon of Excello, Missouri; one brother, Kemlyn (Mary Margaret Leist) Nash of Independence, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews and many many friends. Mass of Christian Burial memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 300 Werner St., 5 West, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.
