Daisy Walls

Daisy Walls, 98, of Searcy, died Friday, June 13, 2014. She was born Monday, Sept. 13, 1915, in Monroe County, Arkansas, to the late Charlie and Cordelia Hartsfield Moore. Daisy was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Searcy. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for 19 years as a nurse at Porter Rodgers Hospital and worked at Central Arkansas Hospital until her retirement in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Walls; brothers, H.C. Moore and Nolan Moore; and sisters, Pearl Walton, Essie Mae Hopper, Nancy Oliver, Athea Weaver, Opal Hill, Florence McGill, Hazel Hopper and Flossie Grider. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Wordie Weaver of Bauxite, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2014, 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501)268-3546. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mr. James Anderson and Mr. Steve Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery.
