Geneva Lavon Mahan

Geneva Lavon Mahan, 76, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 14, 2014. Geneva was born in Pearcy, Arkansas, on January 8, 1938. She graduated from Lake Hamilton High School. Geneva was married to James Martin Mahan on June 20, 1959; they were married 54 years. Geneva worked as a variety of part time jobs but she was predominately a proud and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Geneva is survived by three children, Deborah K. Speer of Amity, Teresa A. Hampel of Benton, and Martin Mahan of Greenwood, two siblings, Barbara Houser of Victorville, California and Shelby Bright of Hot Springs, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Geneva is preceded in death by husband James Mahan and her parents Elbert and Imo Bright. Visitation will be held at 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Section Line Road in Hot Springs. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetary in Hot Springs. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
