Jefferson Beauregard (Beaure) Talbot III

Jefferson Beauregard (Beaure) Talbot III of Hot Springs, Ark., departed this life on Friday, June 20 at Baylor Heart Hospital in Dallas. He was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on Aug. 21, 1932 to Annetta Williams Talbot and Jefferson Beauregard Talbot Jr. and spent his childhood on their farm at Reydel, Ark. He graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tenn. and returned to Reydel to manage the family farm. Beaure served as Sergeant of his artillery battalion in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. An inventor, artist and self-taught architect, he designed and built several homes for his wife and himself, including a French planter style home in Pine Bluff, Ark., an Asian pagoda on Lake Hamilton in Royal, Ark. and a New Orleans town house in Hot Springs, Ark. He loved fine woods and spent several years in the hardwood lumber business in Honduras and Belize. His love of woodworking continued throughout his life and he enjoyed gifting others with hand fashioned boxes, briefcases, jewelry and even custom designed doll houses. Talbot was the owner of Talbot Developments in White Hall, Ark. and throughout his career developed over 120 subdivisions throughout central and southern Arkansas. He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Elizabeth Anne Talbot Prewitt , Annetta Talbot Beauchamp; and by his granddaughter, Tara Lane Talbot. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Von Talbot; four children, Vali Talbot of New Orleans, La., Deonne Talbot Sullivan (Joseph) of Wylie, Texas, Jefferson Beauregard Talbot IV (Elizabeth) White Hall, Ark., and Lee Talbot of Washington, DC. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, Gabriel Galster (Kera) of White Hall, Caleb Galster (Courtney) of North Little Rock, Jordan Galster (Samantha) of Hot Springs, Christina Galster Fox (Denny) of San Antonio , Ariel Galster of Little Rock, Javier Carrillo of Maumelle, Raleigh Sullivan (Rebeca) of Dallas, Texas, Lydia Sullivan Brimelow (Peter) of Litchfield, Conn., Genevieve Sullivan Beverick (Tom) of Houston, Texas, Marshall Sullivan of Wylie, Texas, Lauren Talbot of Maumelle, Arkansas, Jefferson Beauregard Talbot V (Kassi) of Hot Springs and Townsend Talbot of Conway. He was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation and rosary service will be held on Monday, June 23 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, 155 Section Line Road, Hot Springs, Ark. at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, June 24, 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 583 West Grand Avenue in Hot Springs, Ark. Interment will be at Bellwood Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Ark. at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24.
