Charles H. "Chuck" Bourquin

Charles H. "Chuck" Bourquin, age 80 of Harrison, Arkansas. In the early hours of June 20, 2014, the final chapter in the life of Charles H. "Chuck" Bourquin came to an end with family members at his side. He was born January 13, 1934 to Douglas W. and Alberta (Mclean) Bourquin in Dillon, Montana. He grew up with his sister and brother in Missoula, Montana graduating from high school there in 1953. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he met his first wife Lois Deakins of Kaw City, Oklahoma. Chuck retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service in 1973, he was very proud to be a veteran. The family moved to Harrison, Ark. in 1974 where he and Lois owned and operated the first franchised real estate office in Harrison, Ark.; Century 21 Airport Rd. Realty. They sold the business in 1988 and moved to Little Rock, Ark. where Chuck continued in the sales business. In 1993 he met and married his second wife, Mattie Sanchez of Little Rock, Ark. Chuck came back to Harrison after he second wife passed away and became a mainstay at the daily lunches provided by the Boone County Senior Center. He quickly renewed many personal and professional acquaintances after his return. He was a "social butterfly" where ever he went, never meeting a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Bonnie Robinson, his two wives, Mattie Sanchez Bourquin and Lois Bourquin Bettencourt, an infant grandson, and an infant great-granddaughter. He is survived by his brother, Orval "Odie" Bourquin and his wife Jackie of Milwaukee, Oregon; his son, Doug Bourquin and wife Sheila of Harrison, Ark.; daughter, Debbie Flores and husband Herb of Benton, Ark. and daughter, Cheryl Dunlap and partner Amos Hogg of Longview, Texas; and his special friend, Carol Lefley of Harrison, Ark. His children, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren will always have him watching over them. He will be missed by all whom his life touched. Gone, but never forgotten, we will see each other later. ISAIAH 40:31. Visitation was Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Cremation will follow.
