Grace Frances Huffaker

Grace Frances "Bitty" Huffaker, 98, of Bald Knob, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 27, 2014. She was born January 22, 1916 in Augusta to the late William Franklin and Ada Frances (Harrison) Lambert. Grace was an outstanding citizen of Bald Knob. She and her husband Bryan owned Huffaker Mercantile for many years. She was a member of the Bald Knob United Methodist Church. Grace was the oldest living member of the WAC's in Arkansas; she was an avid sports fan and participated in golf, bridge and basketball. She holds records at Augusta High School to date. The Bald Knob Country Club has an annual golf tournament they hold in her honor. Grace loved life and loved spending her time with family and friends. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bowman (Rex) of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Jaque Boyce (Bruce) of Bald Knob, Monica Roberts (Tim) of Bald Knob, Derek Collins (Elizabeth) of Walnut Ridge and Melissa Candler (Ty) of Judsonia; great-grandchildren, Matt, Cody, Mica, Brayden, Gracey, Mary, Morgan, and Emileigh. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bryan Huffaker; a son, Gary Huffaker; three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8:30 p.m. Services will be conducted Monday, March 3, 2014, 10 a.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with Bro. Derek Collins officiating.
