Beverly Ann Aker Hayes

Beverly Ann Aker Hayes, age 59 of Clarendon, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was born to the late Howard Aker and Lotus Lindsey Aker on Jan. 18, 1955 and was a life long resident of Clarendon. She was a graduate of Clarendon High School in 1973, the largest graduating class at that time. While she enjoyed the outdoors and spent many of her days fishing, riding her bicycle, and vacationing in the sun, her true passion in life was the love she had for her three sons and four grandchildren. Known simply as "Granny B" that love and devotion helped carry her through life's journey. Beverly is survived by her husband, Paul Hayes; sons, Shane Ellis (Beth), Adam Ellis (Jessica), Zach Hayes (Jessica) all of Carlisle; brother, Lynn Aker (Marcie) of Clarendon; sister, Sandra Lovell of Clarendon; grandchildren, Jessica, Jackson, McKenna and Adaley; and a host of other loving relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ronnie Aker; and sister, Barbara McCurley. A visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday March 2, 2014 at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Clarendon for all family, friends, and members of the community. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday March 3, 2014 at Clarendon First United Methodist Church followed by burial services at Shady Grove Cemetery.
