Jack A. Williams

Jack A. Williams, age 85 of Malvern, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Arbor Oaks Healthcare. He was born July 28, 1928 in Sayre, Pa. the son of Ralph Alfred and Winifred (Carpenter) Williams. He served in the U.S. Army, was a graduate of Penn State University, worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 30 years, after retirement he had worked at Oaklawn for 17 years. Jack was Episcopalian and had attended the St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Eva Williams; step-brother, Jim Osler; and son, Denver Northrip. Survivors are his wife to whom he married April 26, 1956, Edith (Mathis) Williams; sons, John Northrip of Malvern, Mike Williams (Julia) of Keezletown, Va.; daughters, Judy Parrott (Jerry) of Raymond, Miss., Jackie Edwards (Mike) of Malvern, and Marty Northrip Parrish (Randy) of Senatobia, Miss.; sister, Alice Orsley of Manassas, Va.; step-sister, Virginia Cooke of Waverly, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous very special nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday, March 3, from 5-7 p.m. at Regency. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4, at 3 p.m. in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Robert Reid officiating.
