Alene Thompson Erwin

Alene Thompson Erwin age 93, of Kingsland, Ark. joined her heavenly father on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 in her home. She was born June 30th, 1920 in Cleveland County, Ark. a daughter of the late Rev. H.P. McClellan and Lois Allen McClellan. She was a retired nurse with over 30 years of service, a member of the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron in 1993. She was preceded in death her husbands, Van Thompson and Durwood Erwin; brothers, Ernest McClellan, Grice McClellan; a sister, Lois J. Riggins Maples, a great-grandson, Jason Austin and a great-great-grand-daughter, Lexia Bynum. She is survived by her children, Lorene Dyer, Conway, AR, Marnell Parker and spouse Marshall, New Edinburg, Ark., Linda Brown and spouse Nolan, Vilonia, Ark. and Ronnie Erwin and spouse Kay, Kingsland, Ark.; brothers, Rev. Joe McClellan and spouse Louise, Warren, Ark. and Eddie L. McClellan and spouse Una Mae, Hot Springs, Ark.; two step-children, Cherie Bradford and spouse Bobby, Warren, Ark. and Lyndel Erwin and spouse Annette, Alabama; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 7th at Frazer's Chapel with the Rev. Joe McClellan officiating.
