Betty J. Smith

Betty J. Smith, 81, of Cabot, passed away on Saturday March 8. She was born on Feb. 20, 1933 in Paragould to the late Mr. and Mrs. Grant Morris. She is also preceded in death by a son, Craig Smith; and two sisters, Bonnie Morris and Sue Stairs. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked in the Pulaski County Assessor's office for over 20 years. She served as the secretary of the Arkansas Bowling Association, and was inducted into the Arkansas Bowling Hall of Fame in 2003. She is survived by her husband, E.J. Smith; children, Eric Smith and Keela Smith; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Morris. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home from 6-8. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 12 at 2 in the Chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
